About the Fair
The Ann Arbor State Street Art Fair is one of the four nationally recognized and award-winning art fairs, collectively known as the Ann Arbor Art Fair. For 4 days in July, downtown Ann Arbor is transformed into the nation’s largest juried art fair with over 400,000 attendees.
For over 50 years, the Fair has been the District's premier event. With the addition of the Emerging Artist section and the Hand-Crafted Marketplace, the Fair is looking forward to reinventing its next 50 years and continuing to provide the Midwest with the best art event.
Fine Arts, Fine Crafts
The standards set for acceptance reflect in the artists' dedication to excellence and quality. A jury of both practicing artists and other arts professionals has the task of screening prospective exhibitors, always looking for fresh and innovative approaches as well as stunning examples of age-old techniques.
NEW! Hand-Crafted Marketplace —
The 2nd Annual State Street Hand-Crafted Marketplace is made to run adjacent to the State Street Fine Art Fair. It will offer artists, artisans and craftspersons an opportunity to showcase, build awareness and value for handmade goods as an alternative to mass-produced items.
More than just Art…
The Ann Arbor State Street Art Fair distinguishes itself by showcasing an eclectic mix of the finest art by talented artists alongside its hand-crafted market place and local businesses amid the beautiful skyline of Ann Arbor’s historic theater district.
The retail climate explodes with a host of merchant displays and food of all kinds as outdoor shoppers search for sales or relax while enjoying a beverage or meal amid the throngs of artist displays.
