The Maynard Street Stage

Located ON MAYNARD SOUTH OF WILLIAM

The Maynard Street Stage showcases three full days of live music from local legends, rising stars, and community favorites. From jazz and Motown to ska and singer-songwriters, this eclectic lineup brings the streets to life with the sound of summer. Stop by and catch everything from the smooth harp melodies of Laurel Federbush to the infectious energy of Hullabaloo Band and DJ ROXXX.

Alexander the Magician

Specializing in interactive, family-friendly magic, Alexander keeps audiences laughing, amazed, and on their toes. Catch him during the Art Fair as he dazzles the crowd with surprising illusions, quick wit, and a playful personality that makes everyone feel part of the show.


Glass Academy Live Glass Blowing

Experience the art of glassblowing in action with Glass Academy, a family-owned studio from Dearborn, MI. Founders Chris Nordin, Michelle Plucinsky, and their team will be at the Ann Arbor State Street District Art Fair, creating stunning glass pieces live throughout the event. Their engaging demonstrations offer a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the skill and creativity behind each work of art.

Located just 10 miles west of Detroit, Glass Academy’s 14,000 sq. ft. facility includes a working hot shop, retail gallery, and cozy lounge space. They offer hands-on classes, group workshops, and a popular weekly YouTube show, The Gathering Point. Known for their eco-conscious approach, Glass Academy incorporates sustainable practices and upcycled materials in both their art and operations. Don’t miss this fiery, fascinating feature of the fair!


We Rock The Spectrum

Need a sensory break during the fair? We’ve got you covered! We Rock The Spectrum bringing their Mini Sensory Zone—a calm, inclusive space for guests of all ages and abilities to relax, explore, and recharge amid the excitement.

At their booth, you’ll find:
• Noise-reducing headphones
• A sensory table & interactive sensory board
• Toys that support balance & calming movement
• Best selling sensory toys from WRTS Rock Shop
• Giveaways and community resources for families
• Info about WRTS gym and inclusive programs for kids, teens & young adults

Interactive Street Chalk Mural

In partnership with Creative Washtenaw, fairgoers of all ages are invited to take part in a one-of-a-kind collective street art experience! Join us on William Street to help bring a large-scale mural to life—using chalk as your medium.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just love to doodle, this is your chance to contribute to a vibrant, collaborative work of art right in the heart of the fair. Stop by, pick up some chalk, and leave your mark on this colorful community masterpiece!

Micro Moments of Magic are back, and this year, we’re aiming to break a record!

Scattered throughout the fair, these spontaneous, street-level encounters are filled with sleight of hand, surprise, and just the right dose of wonder. No stage, no schedule—just magic that happens in the moment, when you least expect it.

Each magical interaction gets tallied, and we’re inviting you to help us break the record. Be on the lookout, because the next Micro Moment of Magic might be just around the corner!
