The Maynard Street Stage showcases three full days of live music from local legends, rising stars, and community favorites. From jazz and Motown to ska and singer-songwriters, this eclectic lineup brings the streets to life with the sound of summer. Stop by and catch everything from the smooth harp melodies of Laurel Federbush to the infectious energy of Hullabaloo Band and DJ ROXXX.

Third Place Music at the Fair

Do you want to sing beautiful songs in a welcoming group setting? Third Place Music will partner with Regenerate! Orchestra to host an audience participatory singing activity in Graffiti Alley!
Singing enthusiasts of all backgrounds welcome -- whether you've never sung in a group before, or its one of your passions, and everything in between is welcome and no prior music or singing experience is necessary.
Those who come will learn songs with Regenerate Orchestra's Maddy Wildman and Third Place Music's Director, Wesley Hornpetrie, and then perform the songs to passer byers attending the Ann Arbor State Street District Art Fair. Fun for participants and attendees alike!

Glass Academy Live Glass Blowing

Experience the art of glassblowing in action with Glass Academy, a family-owned studio from Dearborn, MI. Founders Chris Nordin, Michelle Plucinsky, and their team will be at the Ann Arbor State Street District Art Fair, creating stunning glass pieces live throughout the event. Their engaging demonstrations offer a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the skill and creativity behind each work of art.
Located just 10 miles west of Detroit, Glass Academy’s 14,000 sq. ft. facility includes a working hot shop, retail gallery, and cozy lounge space. They offer hands-on classes, group workshops, and a popular weekly YouTube show, The Gathering Point. Known for their eco-conscious approach, Glass Academy incorporates sustainable practices and upcycled materials in both their art and operations. Don’t miss this fiery, fascinating feature of the fair!

In partnership with Creative Washtenaw, fairgoers of all ages are invited to take part in a one-of-a-kind collective street art experience! Join us on William Street to help bring a large-scale mural to life—using chalk as your medium.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just love to doodle, this is your chance to contribute to a vibrant, collaborative work of art right in the heart of the fair. Stop by, pick up some chalk, and leave your mark on this colorful community masterpiece!
About the Mural Artist:
Asha Jordan is an Ann Arbor Visual Artist, Muralist, Curator, Graphic Designer, and Creative Director. Having studied and practiced art for over 20 years, Asha has found her purpose in helping people through art and advocating for artists of color.
